If you have or manage an ecommerce in Spain and you have come this far, don't panic, this new Google imposition for clothing items only affects Germany, France, Japan and United Kingdom for the moment.
As already anticipated by Google in one of the updates published about changes to the Shopping Product Feeds for 2016, the attributes Color and Size (“size" and "colorThe "Binding Rules") became mandatory for the aforementioned countries as of September 1.
Sometimes Google takes longer than expected to reject feeds after the arrival of the date initially indicated, such as the mandatory GTIN, but we can confirm that they have become quite serious about these two attributes and are already taking action with non-compliant products.
So now you know, if you have a business with products that fall into the categories of "Apparel and accessories > Apparel" and "Apparel and accessories > Footwear categories".you must include the "color" and "size", whether to advertise in Google Shopping in those countries or even to stay ahead of future changes, as it will not be long before it arrives in Spain.
