Myers-Briggs Type Indication MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indication) - Personality Types
This test is one of the most popular today and you may already know it. It was created by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers during World War II and is based on the typological theory proposed by Carl Gustav Jung (Psychological Types, 1921). It is a model designed to indicate psychological preferences for how people perceive the world and make decisions. It uses Jung's 8 psychological functions and proposes a series of questions to see to what extent people's ways of being fit into these categories. But... How does it work? The indicator uses four dichotomies with two extremes each to study personality.
