a web page refers to the process in which <strong>browser interprets HTML, CSS and JavaScript code <\/strong>of a web page and converts it into the visual representation we see on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you visit a web site, your browser downloads the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geotelecom.es\/en\/html-basico-para-mejorar-el-seo\/\">HTML code<\/a> which defines the structure and content of the page, the <strong>CSS styles<\/strong> that determine how the page is viewed and the scripts of the <strong>JavaScript <\/strong>that add interactivity and functionality. In this approach, the browser receives a web page already rendered and ready to be displayed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This type of rendering <strong>is very positive for performance,<\/strong> since it does not depend on the client's resources and this can favor the crawling and indexing of the page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it must be taken into account that it is a less flexible system, since if the server is not powerful enough, it could generate response time problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are other hybrid systems that use both versions. This is mainly due to the fact that Google is increasingly able to understand the micro-processes that occur and focuses especially on WRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WRS (<em>Web Rendering Service)<\/em> is what happens after the HTML and resources have been read, <strong>but before the generation of the DOM tree<\/strong> which is what Google will ultimately analyze as the \u201cfinal\u201d page. It is true that this process exists whether or not there is Javascript code, but when it is present, it makes everything more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In short: Google takes into account the final DOM for indexing, but, if the process to reach that data is too long, it will consequently affect the crawling of the web. This is what we must finally analyze with the different performance tools to see where the rendering fails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bloqueos_masivos_desde_el_robotstxt_que_afectan_al_renderizado\"><\/span><strong>Massive blocks from robots.txt that affect rendering:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be careful with our faithful friend, the robots.txt. This file, although simple, is actually very effective when it comes to authorizing or disallowing crawling directives. If it contains blocks to priority files such as CSS and JS, it can directly affect rendering and therefore performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is very common to find robots files created by default by WordPress, Prestashop or Magento, but the truth is that it is necessary to adapt them to our context, as our SEO specialist, Natascha Fher, says, when talking about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/seo-manager-natascha_seo-javascript-robots-activity-7079795187509604352-yRq2?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop\">performance impairment due to blockages in robots<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Caso_practico_real\"><\/span><strong>Real case study:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In reference to robot blocking, a few days ago we received a case of a client whose WordPress development was affected by performance. By using our tools, we detected a serious resource blocking problem, as you can see below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"711\" height=\"622\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geotelecom.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/bloqueos-robots-txt-renderizado.webp\" alt=\"blocking robots txt rendering\" class=\"wp-image-5463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geotelecom.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/bloqueos-robots-txt-renderizado.webp 711w, https:\/\/www.geotelecom.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/bloqueos-robots-txt-renderizado-300x262.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the view <em>Waterfall<\/em> We have been able to verify the large amount of time that some resources spent blocked. These files were nothing more and nothing less than images in Webp format (the one recommended by Google).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This happened because the plugin used to convert the images was storing them in a WordPress directory that was blocked in the robots.txt . In addition to the images, many CSS and Javascript style files, which are a priority for web rendering, also suffered from this problem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We checked what the files were and together with the client, we determined that they were an important part of the load. Directories such as \u201cwp-content\u201d or \u201cwp-includes\u201d, in the case of a WordPress, are tremendously important as they store a large amount of information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While not everything is a priority, <strong>our recommendation is to avoid massive blocking of this directory.<\/strong> and make sure that, with any new implementations, robot policies are not preventing search engines from accessing content you are interested in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Consejos_finales_de_SEO_para_mejorar_el_rendimiento_de_tu_web\"><\/span><strong>Final SEO tips to improve the performance of your website:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are 4 tips that you can follow to <strong>avoid rendering problems<\/strong> on your website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Analyze different urls of your domain:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With tools such as GTmetrix and Page Speed<strong>. <\/strong>If you own a <em>e-commerce<\/em>, We recommend you to analyze the main url, a category and a product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Uses rendering tools:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, <strong>Fetch &amp; Render<\/strong> to check what the robots read when they enter your site during the first seconds of loading.
