In this case, it is configured for contacts who have an email address registered with Connectif. The next node is “When Abandoning Cart”. This node detects cart abandonments. It is limited to detect at most 1 per day, but you can edit this limitation and increase or decrease it if necessary. Finally, we have “Send Email” where we send by e-mail the products that are in the basket.

With this, we are managing to send the email to all those subscribers who abandon carts, without sending more than one email per day. This increases the likelihood that they will return to our website and complete their purchase.

3. In the following, we will consider a segmentation strategy in which we are interested in dividing customers based on the number of days they have not shopped.

To do this, we put a node of “Al Comprar” to detect the contacts' purchases. We then make two paths, a direct one to establish the “Purchases = 0″ which will reset the custom field to 0; and another one with the node “Plan”, which is executed every day at the same time, and followed by the node “Shopping + 1” which will add 1 each day that passes since the contact makes a purchase.

Based on this kind of segmentations, we can impact contacts in an individual and personalized way depending on the number of days they have been without buying in our eCommerce.

4. Very simple, the Inline is the solution. With this Workflow we can display an «Inline» web content with recommended products in the «Home».

And what is an Inline? In Connectif it is a kind of content that will allow you to modify or insert any type of element in your site in a simple way, indicating, for example, the class, id or selector of the element from which you want to replace or add the content.

First we have to determine which page is the trigger. To do this we use the “When Visiting Page” which defines the page where the inline web content will be displayed. Then we obtain the latest products visited by the contact that we will show in the web content. We set a filter of minimum 4 products to know what type of Inline to show. In the affirmative case, we program the Inline and configure the selector to choose the place where it will be shown. In the negative case, we obtain the list of most visited products that we will show in the web content and add the Inline.

5. Then we place the node “Assign Coupon” which is located in Actions > E-Commerce. With this node we configure the type of coupon we want to use in the email and then send the email with the corresponding design and the information to redeem the Discount (DTO).

Coupons are an effective method to work on loyalty and through the sending of beneficial codes to generate a purchase. If you have a list of coupons created in your CMS, import them for use in workflows within Connectif. The coupons must be generated in the CMS. Connectif only works with coupons that are manually imported from the eCommerce.

And these have been 5 of the essential Workflows that you should boost in your Marketing Automation campaigns with this great tool. We hope they have been useful and have given you some ideas to improve the day to day running of your eCommerce.

If you are thinking about promoting it for your business, you can contact us.

See you next post!

Marketing automation is all the rage these days and is undoubtedly one of the best ways to boost your e-commerce business and make it even more personalized. Here at Geotelecom, as Certified Connectif Partners, we have a team of Marketing Automation professionals who are here to share the 5 basic workflows you can create with this fantastic tool to get your campaigns up and running, improve user loyalty, and skyrocket your conversion rate. 1. Newsletter Subscription + Welcome Email We’re going to create a workflow to subscribe our contacts to the newsletter. Our goal is to collect their email address, but we’ll also want to confirm their subscription and send them a welcome email. In addition, we’re going to implement a lead capture technique known as double opt-in: when a contact completes and submits the subscription form, we’ll send them an email asking them to confirm that the email address belongs to them and that they’re able to receive our emails before subscribing them to our newsletter. We have an extensive contact list divided into users, Known Contacts, and Anonymous Contacts. It’s always much more beneficial for our e-commerce business to identify these anonymous users, and we use strategies like this to do so. First, we check whether the user is subscribed to our newsletter; if not, we send Web Content | Pop-up. Upon submission of the form, we send a Welcome Email along with a thank-you pop-up. 2. Abandoned Cart In this workflow, we aim to recover an abandoned cart and convert it into a purchase. To do this, we’ll send an email to the contact listing the items in their cart. In this case, the node structure is very simple and intuitive. We start with the Initial node, where you can select the audience or segment for which this workflow will run. In this case, it’s configured for contacts who have an email address registered in Connectif. The next node is “On Cart Abandonment.” This node detects abandoned carts. It is limited to detecting a maximum of one per day, but you can edit this limit and increase or decrease it as needed. Finally, we have “Send Email,” where we email the products in the cart. This allows us to send the email to all subscribers who abandon their carts, without sending more than one email per day. This increases the likelihood that they’ll return to our website and complete their purchase. 3. Segmentation | Days Since Last Purchase You can use Segmentation to filter a set of organized contacts, either based on a series of profile characteristics or on a series of actions they’ve taken. Next, we’ll outline a segmentation strategy in which we want to divide customers based on the number of days since their last purchase. To do this, we’ll add a “On Purchase” node to detect when contacts make a purchase. Next, we create two paths: a direct one to identify “Purchases = 0,“ which will reset the custom field to 0; and another with the ”Schedule“ node, which runs every day at the same time, followed by the ”Purchases + 1« node, which will increment the value by 1 for each day that passes since the contact made a purchase. Based on this type of segmentation, we can reach out to contacts individually and in a personalized way depending on the number of days they’ve gone without making a purchase on our e-commerce site. 4. Recommended Products | Home How can we display recommended products to our users in a direct and personalized way? It’s very simple—Inline is the solution. With this workflow, we can display »Inline« web content featuring recommended products on the »Home“ page. And what is an ”Inline“? In Connectif, it’s a type of content that allows you to easily modify or insert any type of element on your site by specifying, for example, the class, ID, or selector of the element whose content you want to replace or add to. First, we’ll need to determine which page is the trigger. To do this, we use the ”On Page Visit“ node, which defines the page where the Inline web content will be displayed. Next, we retrieve the latest products viewed by the contact, which we’ll display in the web content. We set a filter for a minimum of 4 products to determine what type of inline content to display. If the condition is met, we set up the inline content and configure the selector to choose where it will be displayed. If not, we retrieve the list of most-visited products to display in the web content and add the inline element. 5. Send a Coupon After Purchase This is the last workflow we’ll discuss in this post, and it has various applications. It involves sending a coupon to contacts after they make a purchase. You can make it even more complex with specific segmentation, but let’s start with the basics first. First, we’ll add the ”On Purchase” node, which detects when a contact makes a purchase. Next, we’ll add the “Assign Coupon” node, which can be found under Actions > E-commerce. With this node, we’ll configure the type of coupon we want to use in the email, and then we’ll send the email with the corresponding design and the information needed to redeem the discount (DTO). Coupons are an effective way to build customer loyalty and encourage purchases by sending out promotional codes. If you have a list of coupons created in your CMS, import them to use in workflows within Connectif. The coupons must be generated in the CMS. Connectif works exclusively with coupons that are manually imported from the e-commerce platform. These are five of the essential workflows you should implement in your marketing automation campaigns using this great tool. We hope you’ve found them useful and that they’ve given you some ideas for improving your e-commerce business day by day. 4. Productos Recomendados | Home ¿Cómo podemos mostrar productos recomendados a nuestros usuarios de forma directa y personalizada? Muy sencillo, los Inline son la solución.
